On a Facebook post he made on his personal page on Feb. 2, he called it “an exciting time for housing in our region” and said there are many new opportunities on the horizon.

“I look forward to working with the board, staff, and colleagues throughout the CRD as we work to increase the stock of affordable rental housing and to look at the Housing First strategy,” he wrote.
