Victoria police look to identify man seen with missing woman Barbara ‘Hailey’ Way

Way was last seen at Mayfair Mall on Dec. 13, reported missing on Dec. 17

A man who was seen with Barbara Way before the high-risk woman was reported missing is being sought by Victoria police.

Way, who goes by the name Hailey, was last seen at Mayfair Mall on the afternoon of Dec. 13 and was reported missing on Dec. 17.

She’s described as a 19-year-old Caucasian woman standing 5’9” with a slim build, shoulder-length blonde hair and a tattoo of a sunflower on her left forearm.

Way was last seen wearing a dark green jacket with a grey hooded sweater underneath, grey Vans shoes and black leggings. Anyone who sees her is asked to call 911.

VicPD on Wednesday released photos of an unknown man who accompanied her at the mall. He’s described as Caucasian, between the ages of 16 and 25, 5’6” with a medium build.

At the time he was seen with Way, the man was wearing a black puffy winter coat over a black hoodie, a black toque with a small white logo, dark pants and dark Vans shoes.
