At the March 6 meeting, council also gave first reading to a bylaw to amend the zoning for another Claude Road property, located just north of Larkhall Road.
This amendment would see the zoning at 2681 Claude Rd. change from one- and two-family residential to medium-density apartment, to allow for a seven-unit townhouse development. The proposal is for one block of three townhomes and one with four townhomes, which would share a common access road.
