Tour de Rock garage sale Saturday

West Shore RCMP host annual sale to raise funds for the Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock

West Shore RCMP Const. Harrison Teed is this year’s West Shore Tour de Rock rider. He will be at the detachment’s garage sale and hopes to raise more than $3

Empty your pockets and fill your belly at the annual West Shore RCMP garage sale.

The detachment is hosting the Tour de Rock fundraiser, Sept.15, with an assortment of household goods, toys and games.

“Holey moley patolly,” said Const. Harrison Teed as he looked at all the donations.

Last year the event raised $3,500 and this year organizer Donna Fraser is hoping to exceed that this year. Fraser began organizing the garage sale last year when her husband Cont. Rod Fraser, was the West Shore rider. This she came back to organize again for the worthy cause.

The garage sale is from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.

During the garage sale there will be a pancake breakfast from 10 a.m. to noon and and a barbecue from noon to 2 p.m.

The West Shore RCMP detachment is located at 698 Atkins Ave. All the proceeds from the event will go towards Cops for Cancer.
