The West Shore RCMP are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspicious male in the Lakehurst Drive area of Langford.

West Shore RCMP are looking for a “suspicious” man in the Lakehurst Drive area of Langford.

The suspect allegedly followed a teenage girl several times in the early morning hours – between roughly 5:40 and 6:15 a.m. – for approximately two weeks before his presence was reported to police.

The man has been seen on foot and on bicycle and on one occasion he is said to have chased the teen while both were riding bicycles. The girl managed to flee on her bicycle.

The man is described as Caucasian, between 40 and 50 years old with thinning, greying brown hair, bad skin and blisters on his cheeks and the sides of his eyebrows.

"We are asking the public to take a good look at this sketch and hope to identify this man and what his intentions are," detachment spokesperson Const. Alex Berube stated in a release.

Members of West Shore RCMP’s general investigation and community policing sections and crime reduction units are working on the case, Berube said. Anyone who might know the man or have seen him is asked to contact police at 250-474-2264 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
