While the snow came down hard at some points Sunday night, the resulting conditions were not enough to prompt the Sooke School District to announce a closure of West Shore schools for Monday.
Most school buses are running, with the exception of the Port Renfrew bus carrying students from that town, Jordan River, Shirley and Woodhaven. Bus 14 from East Sooke is also not running.
On the district's Twitter site, parents were told schools are open but it is up to them to decide whether they feel comfortable sending their child to school.
