The Parkdale Shell gas station at the corner of Saanich Road and Douglas Street was robbed twice in a span of seven hours Thursday. It was also robbed three days earlier.
In all three incidents – 9:30 p.m. Monday; 7:48 a.m. and 2:08 p.m. today (July 7) – a man entered the store and demanded money. No weapon was produced in any of the robberies and no force was used. In all incidents, the suspect fled on foot.
Following the most recent theft, police were contacted by a taxi driver. A tip from the driver led officers from Saanich and Victoria to the Traveller's Inn motel in the 3000-block of Douglas St.
Two men and one woman were arrested. As of late Thursday afternoon, the trio remained in police custody.
Officers were still at the motel conducting their investigation at the time of writing.
