Saanich emergency crews were called around 9:30 a.m. on March 11 after an elderly woman was hit by a female driver turning right out of an apartment complex onto Cedar Hill Cross Road towards Blenkinsop road.
Paramedics transported the pedestrian to the hospital with possible injuries just before 10 a.m.
Three police vehicles and one fire truck were on scene.
Traffic in the area was impacted as Cedar Hill Cross Road is closed between Blenkinsop Road and McKenzie Avenue and drivers are being redirected.
Saanich Police released a traffic advisory that the 3900 block on Cedar Hill Crossing Road would be closed to all traffic.
A Saanich Police collision analyst was en route and police remained unsure when the road will re-open.
Police are still unsure how serious the injuries are of the struck pedestrian. Sgt. Jon Semkiw says if injuries are minor police could be done in an hour, but if injuries are serious police will be on scene for much longer.
If anyone with information on the identity of the woman contact Saanich Police at (250) 475-4321 and quote file 2020-5449.
