Robbery at Langford CIBC

West Shore RCMP seek public's assistance identifying robber.

The CIBC bank in West Shore Town Centre was robbed Wednesday evening.

A lone male, who concealed his face with a baseball cap and sunglasses, entered the bank around 4 p.m., Nov. 30, and demanded money from a teller. He did not produce a weapon, though it's possible he was carrying one, according to West Shore RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Kathy Rochlitz.

The man was given an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen walking towards the mall, near Original Joe’s restaurant.

Police are now reviewing the bank's security footage and but have not yet released an image of the man.

He's been described as 5'10, medium build, with short, light-brown hair and distinct acne on his face. Rochlitz estimates he's between 25 and 35 years old.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black jacket with a light coloured shirt and blue jeans.

No one was injured during the incident.

Anyone with information are asked to contact West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
