Prime Minister Stephen Harper saw federal infrastructure dollars in action this morning during a tour of the Sportsplex construction site in Langford.

The federal government chipped in about $4.5 million in a one-third cost sharing agreement with the province and Langford under the Building Canada Fund. The ice sheet and bowling centre complex is budgeted at $14.1 million and is expected to open this spring or summer.

The prime minister also scheduled to tour the CFB 443 Squadron helicopter hangar in Sidney with Defence Minister Peter MacKay, where they are expected to make a funding announcement.
