A crane truck flipped onto its side on Happy Valley Road on Friday afternoon, snarling traffic.

A West Shore RCMP spokesperson said the boom of the crane struck Telus lines, causing it to tip over.

The truck, carrying a large load, rolled onto its side across the roadway shortly after 4 p.m., causing a closure of Happy Valley Road for several hours just south of Latoria Road.

No injuries were reported from the incident.
