In a statement, the CRD noted: “deteriorating weather and road conditions have made collection unsafe, so in the interest of worker and public safety we will not be collecting curbside recycling today.”

Collection was also impacted in some areas on Friday, Feb. 8 and Monday, Feb. 11.

Residents who have been affected are asked to bring their recycling inside until their next collection day or a list of depots where recycling can be dropped of for free is available at crd.bc.ca/bluebox.

The Hartland Landfill is also closed to the general public due to poor road conditions and the accumulation of snow.

Hartland will be limited to commercial account customers with landfill access only by automated scale.

The CRD noted it will advise residents when the landfill reopens for public use.
