Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke Greens have elected Frances Litman as their party’s candidate for the 2015 federal election.

Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke Greens have elected Frances Litman as their party’s candidate for the 2015 federal election.

“Thank you to all of our members, fellow Greens, and community members who attended the nomination meeting on Feb. 15 and filled the room with your energy and enthusiasm,” said an announcement on Facebook.

The meeting was held Sunday at the Royal Colwood Golf Club, where the members selected Litman over Esquimalt’s former Fire Chief and councillor Dave Hodgins.

Litman will now go up against incumbent MP Randall Garrison, who will run for the NDP, as well as candidates from the Conservative and Liberal Parties, who have yet to have their selection meetings.

Langford businesswoman Fran Hunt-Jinnouchi has already been named the Green Party’s candidate for the riding of Cowichan-Langford-Malahat.
