Helmcken Road paving set for Thursday

View Royal road advisory due to paving on Helmcken Road

Motorists who use Helmcken Road between Island Highway and Vickery Road are advised to use an alternate route tomorrow (Aug. 25) due to paving being done on that section of road.

The Town of View Royal plans to carry out asphalt repair from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and lane closures will be in effect. This work is weather dependent. Emergency vehicles will be treated with utmost priority and will have immediate access as required.

Traffic controls will be in effect in the work zone to assist pedestrians and cyclists. Drivers who must use the roadway are asked to lower driving speed and use caution when travelling through the zone.
