Heating rebate offered by CRD

Switch to a heat pump and you could save some money

The Capital Regional District has announced additional incentives for homeowners in the region to upgrade their heating sources.

The first 125 homeowners in the region that participate in the province’s Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program will receive an additional $150 energy evaluation subsidy from the CRD. The program already offers up to $1,700 per home to help with costs associated with upgrading systems.

An estimated 13,000 oil tanks are in the Capital Region, according to CRD environmental services committee chair and Saanich Coun. Judy Brownoff.
