You don’t need HBO to enjoy the flavours of Westeros (and beyond).

Whether you’re a Lannister or a Stark, a new line of Game of Thrones-themed whisky will have something for every GOT fan, and a Victoria liquor store is one of only four B.C. locations that will carry the entire line.

Starting Jan. 19, BC Liquor (1960 Foul Bay Road) will carry the full collection, with bottles ranging in price from $65 to $150.

Store manager Dan Margetts said the store is expecting a line up the day the whisky collection is released.

“There’s a lot of hype about it and a lot of excitement about it,” he said, adding that he’s been getting calls from excited whisky-drinkers and Game of Thrones fan since the collection was announced.

The limited-edition single-malt scotch whisky collection includes everything from a ‘House Tully,’ with “orange and clove open on the nose” and a “red berry compote and vanilla cheesecake with a pronounced cereal spice finish” on the palate, to a ‘House Greyjoy’ with flavours of “dry sichuan peppery smoke and dark chocolate” and “salted caramel with chili flakes.”

Plus a whisky for every house in between.

The eighth season of Game of Thrones returns to HBO in April, 2019.
