Fast times on Ocean Boulevard

A Colwood man pulled over for speeding landed in hot water after officers smelled marijuana.

West Shore RCMP nabbed the 23-year-old for speeding on Ocean Boulevard on April 29 around 7 p.m.

The unmistakable smell resulted in a search of the car, where officers found “large sum of money and drugs,” believed to be marijuana and cocaine. Police haven’t revealed how much money and drugs were seized.

The man faces drug trafficking charges. He is due in court June 14.
