Unconditional community support is helping feed thousands of people who arrive on the Mustard Seed Food Bank’s doorstep each month.
The Harbour Towers Hotel and Suites donated $5,770 to the Victoria-based food bank last week.
“Everyone has to eat every day,” said Brent Palmer, Mustard Seed food director. “There is still a pressing need.”
The hotel’s gift helps at a time when the working poor are impacted by rising living costs, and are relying on food donations more than ever before. “You do it because there are people that are suffering,” Palmer said of the community’s desire to help.”
