One person taken to hospital after crash on Elk Lake Drive

Emergency vehicles are blocked access to the area for about 30 minutes

Saanich police responded to a crash on Royal Oak Drive at Elk Lake Drive on Thursday that sent one person to hospital with minor injuries.

At around 9:30 a.m., police responded to the crash between a car and a pickup truck. According to police, witnesses observed one of the vehicles turn in front of the other at that intersection resulting in a t-bone type crash.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene and traffic was restricted in that area for approximately 30 minutes.
