Crash ties up traffic on Millstream overpass

Around 2 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon traffic heading north toward Highlands on Millstream Road was redirected onto the Trans Canada Highway.

A two vehicle crash on the overpass at the TCH and Millstream Road blocked the road for about half an hour.

A Toyota sedan was struck by a Nissan sedan, as the Toyota was turning left to enter the highway.

“It was a T-bone type of accident,” said Langford Fire Rescue assistant chief Scott Davidson. “The car got pushed up into the guard rail.”

The firefighters used the jaws of life to give BC Ambulance access to the passenger. The passenger wasn’t entrapped, Davidson said, but medics did not want to move the patient over the console.

“The injuries appeared to be minor,” Davidson said.
