A crash in Colwood at Wale Road and Island Highway closed the intersection Tuesday morning.
A tweet from West Shore RCMP stated the crash was serious.
Emergency crews are responding to a serious accident at Wale Rd and Island Highway in Colwood. Intersection is closed. Expect delays. Allow crews space to work. Updates to come. #yyj

It took crews approximately half an hour to clear the scene.
A further tweet from West Shore RCMP said a pedestrian that was involved in the incident was taken to hospital for observation after obtaining minor injuries.
Emergency Crews have completed their work at the collision at Island Highway and Wale Rd in Colwood. Thank you for everyone's patience. Minor injuries were suffered by a pedestrian who was taken to local hospital for observation.
