Traffic is backed up on the Colwood exit of the Trans-Canada Highway and Island Highway in View Royal.
Congestion started at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday with significant delays, seeing traffic backed up onto the highway.

According to motorists, the cause appears to be construction and line painting on Island Highway near Elements Casino in View Royal.
There are also reports of a bus broken down on the Trans-Canada Highway near the Colwood exit that could be adding to the northbound congestion.
