Armed robbery at Colwood pharmacy

Police unable to track suspect who fled on foot after brazen daytime robbery on Sooke Road

A clean-shaven Caucasian man described as being between 20 and 30 years old with a medium build, wearing a grey hoodie and sweat pants and a black ball cap with the word “SWAT” in large white letters is being sought by West Shore RCMP after a brazen daytime armed robbery at the Rexall Pharmacy on Sooke Road in Colwood Sunday.

According to police, the man entered the store at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, produced a gun and demanded both money and prescription drugs before fleeing on foot with his ill-gotten gains.

West Shore RCMP Police Dog Service attended the scene but were unable to locate the suspect. The West Shore RCMP Major Crime Unit and Island District Forensic Identification Service are assisting with the investigation, but are asking for the public’s assistance.
