Juan de Fuca CRD director wins in a landslide

Incumbent Capital Regional District director Mike Hicks asked residents to consider his record when they went to the polls today.

Seems folks like Hicks’ style.

Hicks, 67, won his fourth term as the director for the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area as he defeated newcomer Daniel Yates in a landslide victory. He out polled Yates 849-184.

“I’m really pleased,” Hicks said late Saturday.

Hicks, who is also chair of SEAPARC, vowed to see the completion SEAPARC Leisure Complex expansion, infrastructure upgrades at Willis Point and Muir Creek and to continue to solidify the electoral area’s position within the CRD.
