A spring tradition will be back at the McPherson Playhouse this weekend.

Metchosin’s Pearson College UWC students present the One World Performance and Expo that features students from across Canada and the world.

One World has a mix of multicultural music, dance and spoken word performances created by the students from conception to final product. The audience will experience some of the Pearson classics such as tribal and Easters European dances, choir performances and a variety of new, original performances.

“One World is hugely entertaining and highly engaging – it is as professional a stage presentation as you are likely to see,” President and Head of College Désirée McGraw said in the release. “Together, the performance and expo act as a beacon of hope in these turbulent times.

Young people from very different backgrounds and every part of the globe are working together today to create a stage performance. Tomorrow they will be working together to create dramatic and positive changes in their communities and the world.”

The dress rehearsal takes place March 16, at 2 p.m. and tickets are $10. On Saturday March 17, there are two shows that run at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and tickets are $30 for adults, $20 for seniors and students, and $15 for children 12 and under. To purchase tickets visit rmts.bc.ca. The interactice Student Expo runs before and after Friday and Saturday shows in the McPherson lobby.
