Y’s first member can’t wait for facility opening in Langford

Staff have been busy signing up members, offering facility tours

The first official member of the Westhills YM-YWCA can’t wait for the facility to open.

Piper Graham, 4, who was signed up April 16, is looking forward to everything the facility has to offer, including the children’s play area, according to her grandmother, Langford Coun. Denise Blackwell.

“She’s been asking if she can go swimming every day,” Blackwell said. “I don’t think they could have done a better job on this facility. It’s going to be fabulous for people of all ages.”

Staff have been kept “very busy” at the new Y with tours and registrations in advance of the official opening May 14, said general manager Kim Williams.
