Proving how wonderful things in tiny packages can make a big impact on the lives of others, the owners of 11 miniature masterpieces will open their garden gates to the public in support of the Victoria Hospice.
Taking part in the seventh annual Teeny Tiny Garden Tour allows you a rare glimpse into Greater Victoria’s smallest backyard gems – while supporting Hospice’s compassionate programs for patients and their loved ones.
From a traditional English garden to a ‘Take me to Bali’-themed garden, the tour will have something for everyone. In addition to some truly amazing gardens on display this year, master gardeners will also be on site – at 2511 Maynard St. and 1869 Gonzales Rd. – for your gardening questions.
The tour takes place Sunday, June 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tickets are $25 and on sale at Dig This stores (560 Johnson St.; 1990 Oak Bay Ave; Broadmead Village Shopping Centre; 2387 Beacon Ave., Sidney); the Victoria Hospice Thrift Boutique (1315 Cook St., near Yates street); and all Thrifty Foods locations.
Roughly 50 per cent of Victoria Hospice’s annual operating costs are not covered by B.C’s health-care system, and must be funded through community donations to Victoria Hospice and the Palliative Care Foundation.
