Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra presents Tea and Symphony

Tea, coffee, finger sandwiches, and delicious sweet and savory treats are served up when the Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra presents Tea and Symphony.

Patrons can enjoy an afternoon of light classical music and traditional afternoon tea at the March 1 event.

Sooke Lioness cater the event, and Sea of Bloom flower shop has again donated the floral centerpieces.

Yariv Aloni, Sooke Philharmonic music director, has selected a mix of favorite classics, including music by Bach, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Popper, and Faure. Soloists are cellist Pamela Highbaugh Aloni and soprano Nancy Washeim.

Tea and Symphony is one of the Sooke Phil’s most popular events and is annually sold out. Attendance is limited to 120 and advance ticket purchase is recommended.

WHAT’S ON … The Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra presents Tea and Symphony at the Sooke Community Hall on Sunday, March 1 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets $40, available Shoppers Drug Marts, the Little Vienna Bakery, South Shore Gallery, or at the door.
