The Land Conservancy of B.C. (TLC) is looking for students for a summer volunteer program.

TLC is looking for students who want to gain field experience in ecological monitoring while enjoying some of the CRD’s green spaces.

The position is for volunteer covenant monitors who enjoy the great outdoors and are interested in learning about standardized monitoring methods.

TLC is a non-profit, charitable land trust working throughout the province and its mandate is to help the community by protecting habitat for natural communities of plants and animals.

The program started in May and runs until August.

There is no experience necessary, but volunteers must be able to hike for three to six hours at a time, carry their own pack, and have proper attire for the weather elements.

For more information on the program, contact Torrey Archer at 250-479-8053 or covenants@conservatory.bc.ca.
