QB Lulay helping to fight domestic abuse

Lions players in town today to speak to Belmont students

Former CFL Most Outstanding Player and Grey Cup MVP Travis Lulay and teammate Rolly Lumbala are in town to speak to students about domestic violence this afternoon at Belmont Secondary.

Lulay and Lumbala will be presenting to special education program students, a general assembly in the North Gym and working with student leaders and Belmont football players in their battle against abuse as part of the “Be More Than a Bystander” program – a three-year initiative aimed at breaking the silence surrounding violence against women and girls by providing tools, language and practical ideas about how to be more than a bystander, how to speak up and how to communicate that violence and abuse is not acceptable.
