Plan your New Year’s hike in View Royal

CRD Parks hosting Thetis Lake walk on Sunday, Jan. 3

Start the new year off right with a guided walk around the Thetis Lake loop in View Royal.

The hike goes on Sunday, Jan. 3 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and is a great opportunity to get some fresh air before starting the first full work week of 2016.

Join a Capital Regional Districts parks naturalist in exploring the area and the park’s natural history. Don’t forget to bring a snack (or lunch) and plenty of water. Staff remind participants to dress appropriately for the weather and to wear sturdy hiking shoes.

This event is for anyone aged 8 and up. Meet at the main parking lot at Thetis Lake. For more information phone 250-478-3344.
