Neighbourhood Nights returns this summer

Lots of activities, games, crafts and movies for all to enjoy

West Shore Parks and Recreation is hosting its annual Neighbourhood Nights this summer.

The event features nights full of activities, games and crafts, all with a weekly theme. Participants are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and enjoy the summer evenings.

Tuesday nights take place at Glen Lake Park, in Langford, located off Glenview Place, and Thursdays nights take place at Royal Bay Meadow Park in Colwood, located off Metchosin Road at Latoria Boulevard.

Thursday, Aug. 16 is an exception on the schedule, with the pre-movie activities at West Shore Parks and Recreation, followed by an outdoor movie screening of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

The themes, in sequence, are as follows: Olympics, magical world of wizardry, highland games, superheroes, water world, fairy tales and fables.

Neighbourhood Nights runs on Tuesday and Thursday evenings until Aug. 23 from 6 to 8 p.m.

This is a free family program and no pre-registration is required. The events are weather dependent. For more information people can visit westshorerecreation.ca.
