Observing those who have fought for the rights and freedoms of Canadians, a large crowd turned out under grey skies for the ceremonies held to mark 2024's Remembrance Day in front of the St. Mary the Virgin Church at 4354 Metchosin Rd.
Veterans and current military personnel were joined by the public, Scouts, Girl Guides of Canada, local politicians, as well as fire and other city groups for an official ceremony at 11 a.m.
