Mark your calendar: Metchosin Film Night returns Friday

The plight of the honey bee is the topic this week in Metchosin

Metchosin Film Night returns Friday (Sept. 25) with Markus Imhoof’s  More than Honey, a 93-minute documentary on the plight of the bee.

Is it man-made pesticides or medications that are causing them to die? Or is it the varroa mites, viruses or stress? Colony collapse disorder is happening and without bees, how do we pollinate the 80 per cent of plant species that need them?

Come and learn from this insightful film, starting at 7 p.m. at the Metchosin Community House, 4430 Happy Valley Rd.
