The Greater Victoria Public Library (GVPL) is showing some Valentine’s Day love to library card holders by waiving late fees for those affected by the recent snowfall.

GVPL announced Thursday it would waive late fines on all library materials due on the three snow days – Feb. 11 to 13.

“We know our patrons make their best effort to return their library items on time,” said Maureen Sawa, GVPL CEO. “Given the inclement weather, we are waiving all library fines for materials that were due Feb. 11, 12 and 13.”

Accounts of patrons who already paid their fines for items due on those three days will receive a credit.
