Langford Fire Rescue hosts semi-annul bike auction

Proceeds go towards volunteer efforts of the fire department

Reclaimed bikes were auctioned at reasonable prices at the Langford Fire Rescue’s semi annual auction.

The rain moved the auction into the hall where the fire trucks would normally sit, and despite the rain there were around 60 people that showed up.

Firefighter Colin Pilkey served as the auctioneer for the event, auctioning anything from children’s bikes to adult road bikes.

Nearly all the bikes were auctioned off, with a few stragglers left behind.

Proceeds from the auction go towards the ambassador program at Langford Fire, which the fire department uses to go to places less fortunate in North America and overseas to train the fire departments.
