Hannah as an inspiration

Langford-based artist Paul Archer got busy airbrush-painting a mural of Hannah Day after hearing the four-year-old cancer patient would be returning home to Langford last weekend after another stay at Vancouver Children’s Hospital.

The 12-foot high by 15-foot wide mural of Hannah, 4, was painted on canvas donated from General Paints. Archer started at midnight May 31, worked through part of the night and continued most of the next day to have it ready for the Day family’s visit on Sunday.

He hopes to find a new home for the mural, perhaps a building or a business, to provide inspiration for other parents and children suffering from life-threatening disease.
