Public invited to interact with B.C. artists at second annual forum

A panel discussion on the theme “Honour the Strong Women” happens Thursday (June 7) at the Legacy Gallery.

The talk is part of this year’s First Nations women’s artist forum, HIWEST (pronounced hee-west). Moderated by Rose M. Spahan, the event will see her joined by fellow artists Rebecca Belmore, Susan Kostiuck, Angela Marston and Cathi Charles Wherry.

Meet the artists and learn about their philosophy, themes, perspectives and the motivation behind their work. The discussion happens from 7 to 9 p.m. at the gallery, 630 Yates St.
