Victoria region firefighters will be out on the town this Friday and Saturday to fill their boots with donations for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.

On the West Shore, Langford Fire Rescue will be at West Shore Town Centre, Superstore, Canadian Tire, Walmart and Rona on Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Colwood Fire Rescue will be at the Island Highway Tim Horton’s location on Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Out in Metchosin, the Fire Department will be set up at the corner of Happy Valley and Metchosin roads on Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

View Royal Fire Rescue will be at the 6 Mile Liquor Store on Friday from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. The members will also be at Thrifty Foods and Canadian Tire on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Last year firefighters in B.C. and the Yukon raised $682,000.
