On the longest day of the year, five West Shore gardens are encouraging folks to step outside, enjoy the sunshine and smell the roses.
Organized by the Soroptimist International of Victoria Westshore, the Westshore Garden Tour offers folks an exclusive glimpse into five stunning private gardens in Langford, Highlands, Metchosin and View Royal.
"Each garden showcases unique landscapes, vibrant flora and the personal touch of dedicated gardeners," says a news release from the organization.
All money raised from the self-guided tour will support Soroptimist International of Victoria Westshore's projects designed to create sustainable and measurable change for women and girls in the community.
Projects include 'Dream It, Be It', Victoria’s largest career fair for high school girls, empowering them to explore diverse career paths; and educational awards, providing financial assistance to women overcoming barriers to pursue education.
The Westshore Garden Tour takes place on Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m., beginning at any participating garden or at the Garden Gathering hosted at Colwood's Emery Hall, 537 Glencairn Ln.
At the Garden Gathering, visitors can enjoy live music, explore handcrafted treasures from local artisans and savour delicious offerings from local food vendors.
Tickets cost $40, with the option of adding a boxed lunch for $15. For more information, visit the website: https://bit.ly/4kpRVkF.
