Trees are being trimmed in Langford.

Lights are starting to go up to prepare for Christmas, but the coloured lights won’t be plugged in until Nov. 11 to show respect for Remembrance Day.

The clear white lights are up year-round, but George Henshall, deputy director of engineering and public works said all the Christmas lights have to be up by Dec. 1.

The City currently has four people working to get Langford lit up.
