The Westshore and Sooke Parent Education and Support Group is hosting another workshop for parents on the West Shore.
The latest instalment in this series will feature Katherine Paxton, a certified counsellor. Paxton supports individuals with special needs and their families, and will focus her presentation on autism.
She is also an internationally recognized author and her book, Counselling People on the Autism Spectrum, won the 2010 Book of the Year Award from the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
This workshop takes place at the Centennial Centre, 2805 Carlow Rd. in Langford, from 7 until 9 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5. It is free of charge, but due to limited space, organizers ask interested persons to register in advance at bit.ly/2ftHwUm.
