Birds of all feathers flock to Witty's Lagoon in Metchosin

CRD hosting nature walk this Sunday at regional park

While some birds flock south for warmer weather, many species spend their winters enjoying southern Vancouver Island’s moderate climate.

The Capital Regional District is inviting the public, aged nine and up, to join one of their naturalists on a guided walk of Witty’s Lagoon Regional Park in Metchosin this Sunday (Nov. 29) from 10 a.m. until noon.

Come and see who’s who at the lagoon, a favourite bird hangout, and don’t forget to bring binoculars if you have a pair. A spotting scope will also be available.

Meet at the Witty’s Lagoon Nature Centre off Metchosin Road. For more information call 250-478-3344.
