Cancer foundation hires new fundraiser

Alyssa Grace will oversee enhancements to cancer research and patient care and build connections with philanthropic partners

The B.C. Cancer Foundation has a new face for fundraising on Vancouver Island.

Alyssa Grace, senior director of development, will oversee enhancements to cancer research and patient care and build connections with philanthropic partners.

“I am so excited to return home to Vancouver Island,” Grace said in a statement.

“Working with B.C. Cancer Foundation is an enormously worthy endeavour, combining my passion for research, cancer care and philanthropy.”

The B.C. Cancer Agency Vancouver Island Centre in Victoria is undergoing a $10-million upgrade, which will better integrate patient care.

British Columbians gave a record $50.4 million last year to the agency.
