Joseph Richard Tannhauser (Dick) was born in Vancouver, BC on July 13, 1923. On September 24, 2012 Dick passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 89. Dick will be sadly missed and always remembered by his loyal wife Doreen of 67 years, 2 sons Patrick (Carol) and Ron, 3 grandaughters Amanda, Christine, Hayley and 2 great-grandchildren, Stephanie & Dominic. Dick loved nature and had a close relationship with his creator. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and a resident of Langford for more than 50 years he was well known for devoting many volunteer hours in the door to door ministry.
To the 6th floor Neurology Nursing staff at Victoria General Hospital we would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for the loving care that Dick received for the 2 weeks prior to his passing.
Memorial service was held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses 2780 Shelbourne Street Victoria, BC V8R 4M2
