University, faculty agree to terms

Royal Roads University and the Royal Roads University Faculty Association ratified a two-year agreement

Royal Roads University and the Royal Roads University Faculty Association ratified a two-year agreement including modest wage increases within existing budgets, announced John Yap, Minister of Advanced Education, Innovation and Technology on Monday.

“This is the first agreement covering faculty ratified under the Cooperative Gains Mandate, and I would like to thank the university and the faculty association for working so hard to make this agreement happen,” Yap said.

The new collective agreement covers about 55 full-time faculty and librarians at the university.

The two-year agreement includes a two per cent wage increase in each year from within existing budgets.
