Family and friends are worried for the well-being of a 32-year-old Victoria man, who has not been seen in more than a week.

Victoria police issued a public plea Thursday in hopes that someone knows the whereabouts of Daniel Grandza, who was last seen at a friend’s Fernwood home on April 27. Grandza has not been in contact with family or friends and has not been to his workplace, where he is employed as a painter.

Family reported him missing to police on May 2.

“Grandza has been known to go on camping and hiking trips at East Sooke Park, Mount Douglas Park and Mount Finlayson,” Victoria police spokesperson Const. Mike Russell said in a statement.

Grandza is six-feet with a slender build, has short blonde hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Victoria Police Department at 250-995-7654.
