Federal NDP members will choose a candidate on Oct. 14 for the upcoming Victoria byelection.

The nomination meeting will be held at the Michelle Pujol Room at the University of Victoria at 1 p.m., said NDP local riding association president Erik Kaye. Only NDP members within the Victoria federal riding are eligible to vote.

“We look forward to an exciting and invigorating nomination race to select the NDP candidate to take on the Harper Conservatives in the byelection,” Kaye said in a statement.

Nomination papers must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Sept. 28 for candidate hopefuls to be on the ballot.
