An Amber Alert has been issued for two Alberta girls, believed to have been taken from their school by their mother. On May 12, 2014, at approximately 10:45 am, Vulcan RCMP Detachment officers were dispatched to an elementary school in the hamlet of Brandt near Vulcan, Alberta to investigate what appear to be a parental abduction.  Officers were informed that the two sisters, Telisha and Taya MEISEL would have snuck out of school and met with their biological mother, Trina MEISEL, 48-year-old woman who does not have legal guardianship of the children.

Police believe they are headed either to Saskatchewan or Vancouver Island. It is believe the mother and daughters would be travelling in a 2007 black Honda CRV, Alberta licence ORNRSE.

Telisha MEISEL is 12 years old, long blond wavy hair and wearing a turquoise green sweater, a grey stripped t-shirt and blue jeans, and Taya MEISEL, 6 years old, also has long blond wavy hair and wearing prescription glasses.

Anyone who believes they have seen the vehicle or the girls, should call 911.
