RCMP seek break and enter suspect

West Shore RCMP are looking for help in locating this man, Andrew Paul Vandel, in connection with two break and enters in Langford.

After two break and enters into two businesses on the same block in Langford, West Shore RCMP are asking the public to help them track down a suspect.

Andrew Paul Vandel is being sought in connection with two break and enters in the Langford Centre mall on Goldstream Avenue on Dec. 15, 2012. A small amount of cash was stolen from each business.

Evidence at the businesses connects Vandel to the crimes and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. The police have been trying to locate Vandel but have so far not been successful.

RCMP describe Vandel as a Caucasian male, 183 cm (six feet) tall, weighing 75 kilograms (165 pounds), with brown hair and eyes. Vandel has also been known to use the names Andrew Vandel, Andrew Leddy and Steve Downs.

Vandel is known to police and the RCMP are advising that anyone who knows the location of Vandel to not approach him and call 911 to tell the police. Anyone with information that could lead to the location of Vandel is asked to call the West Shore RCMP detachment at 250-474-2264.
